Are you
responsible for planning an event, exhibit, retreat, corporate meeting, or
conference? Indoors? Outdoors?
In addition to
obtaining your guest speakers, you will need to find the best sound
reinforcement and visual projection rental agent in your area. Find out from
your guest speaker(s) or performers what visual material and delivery format
they prefer for their presentation. Find out what their audio needs are.
You will need to get them the best delivery method for all of their material
to make your event a success.
Start by
canvassing sound reinforcement and visual projection rental vendors. Look
online, in the local papers. Ask local banquet facilities; check with local
hotels; talk to local conference centers. Nothing can ruin months of great
planning like a sound system that fails to project well enough, consistently
enough, or even at all! You want to guarantee that everyone will hear the
presentation. You want to be sure everyone can see the presentations,
performers, and visual aids. You do not want sound that is inconsistent or
visual aids that are out of focus or too small to see. You want a guarantee
that your presentation will get to your guests in perfect condition. |

For large or small events,
you want everyone to hear your message, see your message, and feel your
speaker’s enthusiasm for the material being presented. Contact local
conference centers to see whom they have successfully worked with in the
past 2 years. Find out who they have used for visual projection assistance
when hosting both large and small events. You want a current point of
reference. Talk to local retreat centers, or your community events office.
Find out whom they have used for outdoor/indoor events to provide audio and
visual projection for different types of events. Take the time to check
references. Make sure the sound reinforcement and visual projection system
you select will fit your venue. You want something that is not too large
for a small location, and not too small for an outdoor, or large indoor
event.
Everyone who attends your
event needs to see and hear clearly all that is being presented. Don’t
forget to ask your AV rental agent if they have onsite back-up equipment
available at every event. Remember that lining up your
entertainment/speakers is only the first part of making your presentation
spectacular. Finding a superior sound reinforcement and audiovisual
projection team to deliver the goods is the other half. Make your event
spectacular. Don’t forget the second half of the equation. |
